Last year on August 2015, a lip and cheek tint was included in the Bioderma BDJ Box. It was the first time that I used it even though I have always heard girls rave about it. I somehow don’t know how to use it at first. I thought it is kind of fading and have to swatch a good amount of it on my cheeks to take effect. It could be tricky at first because it could lead to unbalanced color. It could also result to no color and too much color on the cheeks.
After maybe 3 months of trying (because I don’t use it everyday), I got the hang of it. I kind of experimented on building the color. After my usual skin care (cleansing, toning, moisturizing, putting eye creams and sunscreen), I put some cheek tint on the apples of my cheeks up to the temples. After a while, it would look like the color has faded but it is okay. I use liquid foundation on my face and put on cheek tint again. Set it with powder and you’re ready to go.
What I really like about this product is its ability to look natural. It clings like second skin. Actually, somebody complimented me that I have rosy cheeks and asked me what do I use. I said I used a cheek tint for blush on. It is really great for everyday no make up look.
I prefer this type rather than the new variant in shorter bottles because this has a thinner consistency. The other one is more pigmented but a lot thicker. And besides, this looks more natural on me.
In case you’re wondering why I’m not mentioning its use as a lip tint, I don’t use it on my lips for hygienic purposes.
