I’m so glad that I got to be a part of Female Network’s first Beauty Con. It was held in Robinson’s Magnolia which is, thankfully, near my area so it was really not so hard for me to say yes to this event. By registering online and paying 100php in the event itself, I got to enjoy their loot bag, the seminars and most of all, the free booths the event has to offer.
The Loot Bag
The loot bag consist of coupons, flyers, a note pad, Kojie San anti-aging soap and Dove deo. Thanks to Female Network and the sponsors that I got to enjoy these products.
There are so many booths to choose from as follows: Revlon (need I say more?), Tokyo Posh Hair Extensions, Creations by Lourd Ramos Salon, Flirt Waxing Lounge, Beauty and Butter (nails, face & art), Lulu DK Tattoos, Oh My Lash, Maquillage Professional (School of Make Up Artistry), Lash Wishes (Designer Lash Extensions), Nail Files and Browlab. I only regret that I can’t get to all of them because there are so many of us who wants those services that the lines are so long. Hopefully next time, all of us would be accommodated.
This is my favorite part of the event because I learned a lot. I registered for Sessions 3: Beauty Blogging and Session 4: How to Present Your Best Self but ended up sitting in for 7 out of 10 sessions.
I am starting out as a blogger so I signed up for Session 3. Not necessarily a beauty blogger, but I blog mostly about my experiences which includes the products I use, my experiences in the events I go to, and just anything worth sharing. I learned a lot from Shari’s (from The Misty Mom) talk. From how she started blogging to her learnings along the way. What really got into me are the words “Find your writing voice.” I write technically and not conversationally so I think I need to make my blog posts more personal. I am inspired to continue my blog not just for fun but to be a voice to something worth sharing.
Session 4 is all about how to present your best self. Ms Karen Agustin-Ostrea is a former Bb. Pilipinas Universe winner and a personality development speaker amongst others. She is really the best speaker for this session. She talked about proper posture and how it could make or break a person in terms of making a good impression. I really liked the practical way she delivered the talk. Up until now, I am practicing what she termed as the “basic hesitation.”
All in all, FN’s Beauty Con 2015 is a success. I know that the next events FN would host would be more exciting and fun-filled. I can’t wait for the next one.
